SCRS are always looking for new volunteers to help in their practical conservation sessions and also in research into the social and commercial effects of the waterway on its neighbourhood.

SCRS aim is to catalogue the history and heritage of the Canal and to engage people’s interest in the Canal.  Here, anyone who has an interest in local history and the like would be particularly helpful but again all help would be appreciated.

 

We are especially keen to hear from anybody with engineering, marketing or accounting skills.

Other skills in marketing, computers and liaison with young people would also be a considerable asset to the organisation.
